We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA. This page says what we have actually done, what we know is not perfect, and how to tell us when we have got it wrong — rather than claiming conformance we have not measured.
What we have done
- Every page works from the keyboard alone, with a visible focus ring throughout.
- A “skip to content” link is the first thing in the tab order.
- Body and interface text meet AA contrast in both light and dark. Nothing important is carried by colour alone — form errors carry text, not just a red border.
- Form fields have real
<label>elements, and calculator results and status messages are announced to screen readers rather than only appearing visually. - The calculator steppers are real buttons with descriptive labels, and each shows its current count as an
<output>rather than as unlabelled text. - Text reflows to one column on a narrow screen and zooms to 200% without horizontal scrolling.
- Motion is minimal and respects
prefers-reduced-motion.
What we know is imperfect
- The leak calculator’s drip rate is a range slider. It is keyboard operable and labelled, but a slider is a poor control for an exact number — there is a typed field planned to sit beside it.
- Comparison tables on the legal pages scroll horizontally on a small phone. The content is all reachable, but a table is a poor experience at that width.
- We have tested with keyboard navigation, browser zoom and automated checks. We have not yet run a full manual audit with screen reader users, so treat our AA claim as our target and best assessment rather than a certified result.
Tell us about a barrier
If something on this site stops you doing what you came to do, tell us and we will fix it. Email support@plumbingconcierge.com (Mon–Fri, 8am–6pm CT). Tell us the page and what happened; we will acknowledge within five business days.
If a form on this site is in your way, email us the same information in whatever form suits you — a plain email is a valid way to request a quote, and we will not send you back to the page that blocked you.
