1. Who we are

This site is operated by Vita Nova Construction LLC, a Texas limited liability company trading as Plumbing Concierge, at 8109 Belmont Ct, North Richland Hills, TX 76182.

For the purposes of US state privacy laws — including the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act and the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended — we are the business (in Texas, the controller) that determines why and how your personal information is processed.

This policy covers this website, our quote and contact forms, our email correspondence and the Plumbing Concierge Alerts text message program. Write to privacy@plumbingconcierge.com about anything in it.

2. What we collect

We have no accounts and no logins, and we take no payments on this site — pricing is on inquiry, so there is no checkout here to collect card details through. The list is short:

CategoryWhat that means hereWhere it comes from
IdentifiersYour name, email address, the phone number you give us, and the property address or ZIP for the job. Your IP address, stored only as a salted one-way hash. You, on the quote or contact form
Service informationWhat you asked us to scope: the problem, the fixtures involved, photos you send, and the correspondence that follows. You and our systems
Text message consent recordsIf you opt in to texts: the mobile number, the exact consent wording shown, the time, the page, the hashed IP and your browser’s user-agent string. You, at the point of opt-in
Internet and network activityStandard server request logs kept by our hosting provider. We run no analytics and no advertising trackers on this site.Your browser

What we never collect

  • Card or bank details. Nothing on this site takes a payment. If we invoice you for a job, that happens outside this website.
  • Sensitive personal information. We do not ask for, and have no use for, your race, religion, health, precise geolocation, immigration status or biometrics. We therefore have nothing to “limit the use of” under California law.
  • Data about children. See section 12.

3. Why we use it

PurposeWhat it covers
Scoping and quoting your jobWorking out what is wrong, pricing it, and the correspondence that follows
Arranging the workPassing what a plumbing contractor needs in order to attend and complete the job
Marketing text messagesOnly with your express written consent. Never sent without it.
Keeping proof of consentEvidence that a subscriber agreed to be texted, which the law requires us to be able to show
Preventing fraud and abuse of our formsRate limiting and the hashed IP on a submission
Tax, accounting and legal recordsWhat we are required to keep

We do not use your personal information to make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you, and we do not profile you for advertising.

4. Mobile numbers and text messages

Mobile information — how it is handled

No mobile information will be sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing with subcontractors who provide support services — such as our messaging provider, which needs the number in order to deliver the message you asked for — is permitted, and those providers may not use it for anything else.

All of the categories described in this policy exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

We only text you if you tick the box asking us to. The box is never pre-ticked, and agreeing to texts is never a condition of buying anything — every quote and price is available whether you opt in or not, and the quote form submits with the box untouched.

How often, and what it costs. Plumbing Concierge Alerts sends up to 6 messages per month. Message and data rates may apply — those charges come from your mobile carrier, not from us. Reply STOP to any message to stop them, or HELP for help. Full terms are in the SMS Terms.

When you opt in we record, and keep, evidence of what you agreed to:

  • the mobile number you gave us;
  • the exact wording of the consent text that was on screen at the time;
  • the date and time, and the page you were on;
  • a salted one-way hash of your IP address and your browser’s user-agent string.

We keep that record for as long as you are subscribed and for four years afterwards, because that is the limitation period for claims under the federal Telephone Consumer Protection Act. It exists to prove you consented; it is not used to market to you.

Reply STOP to any message and we stop immediately and permanently — the number goes on a suppression list that overrides any later form submission. Reply HELP for support details. You can also unsubscribe on the SMS Terms page, through Your Privacy Choices, or by emailing privacy@plumbingconcierge.com.

5. Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers and contractors, each of which gets only what it needs and is contractually barred from using it for anything else:

WhoWhat they getWhy
The licensed plumbing contractor engaged for your jobYour name, property address, contact details and the scope of workSo they can attend and complete the work you asked for
Messaging providerMobile number and message text — only if you opted inTo deliver the texts you asked for
Email providerEmail address and the contents of our correspondenceTo answer your quote and support requests
Hosting and infrastructureWhatever passes through the site in the course of running itTo serve the website and store its records
Accountants and, if required, tax authoritiesInvoice and job recordsLegal obligation

We may also disclose personal information if we are legally required to, or to establish or defend a legal claim. If the business is ever sold or merged, customer records may transfer with it — you would be told before that changed anything about how your data is used.

6. “Sale” and targeted advertising

We do not sell personal information, we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, and we do not use it for targeted advertising or profiling. We have never received money for anyone’s data and have no plans to.

We honour the Global Privacy Control signal. Since we neither sell nor share personal information, receiving one changes nothing about how we treat you.

7. Cookies

This site sets no advertising cookies, no analytics cookies and no third-party trackers. There is no cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to. Our hosting provider keeps ordinary server request logs, as any web host does.

8. How long we keep it

WhatHow longWhy that long
SMS consent and revocation recordsWhile subscribed, then 4 yearsTCPA limitation period — proof that consent existed
Mobile number for marketingUntil you opt outRemoved from the sending list on STOP; only the suppression entry remains
Quote requests and correspondence2 years after the job closesSo we can pick up a repeat problem without asking you everything again
Invoice and job records7 yearsTax and accounting requirements
Privacy request records2 yearsTo show we answered, as the law requires us to be able to

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live you may have some or all of these rights. We give all of them to everyone rather than checking your state first.

  • Know and access what personal information we hold about you, where we got it, why we have it, and who we have disclosed it to, and get a copy in a portable format.
  • Correct anything inaccurate.
  • Delete it, subject to the records we are legally required to keep — an invoice, or proof that you consented to texts.
  • Opt out of sale, sharing, targeted advertising and profiling. We do none of these, so this one is already satisfied.
  • Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these.
  • Appeal if we turn a request down. Reply to our decision and a different person will review it within 45 days (60 for Texas). If we still say no, we will tell you how to complain to your State Attorney General — for Texas residents, the Office of the Attorney General at texasattorneygeneral.gov.

10. How to make a request

Use the form on Your Privacy Choices or email privacy@plumbingconcierge.com. Both reach the same place.

We will confirm receipt within 10 days and answer within 45 days, extending once by a further 45 days only if the request is genuinely complex — and we will tell you if that happens.

One exception, and it is deliberate. A request to stop being texted is actioned immediately and is not held behind identity verification. Making someone prove who they are before you will stop texting them is exactly the friction the FCC’s revocation rules exist to remove.

11. Security

The site is served over HTTPS with a restrictive content security policy. No payment data is collected on this origin at all. IP addresses are stored as salted hashes rather than in the clear.

No system is perfectly secure. If a breach ever affects your personal information and is likely to result in a risk to you, we will notify you and the relevant authorities within the time the law requires — under Texas Bus. & Com. Code § 521.053, without unreasonable delay and no later than 60 days.

12. Children

We do not knowingly collect personal information from, or send text messages to, anyone under 18, and the SMS program requires you to confirm you are the account holder of the number and old enough to agree. If you believe a child has given us personal information, email privacy@plumbingconcierge.com and we will delete it.

13. Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. If the change is material — a new purpose, a new category of recipient, a change to the SMS program — we will say so prominently, and where the law requires it we will ask for your consent again rather than assume it carries over.
